Longarm Quilting Services at My Quilting Loft

Come on by the shop to ask about longarm quilting services. Bring your quilt top and backing in Tuesdays-Friday 10-5 or Noon-5 on Saturdays to be added to our wait list. No appointment necessary. 

For edge to edge computer guided quilting our price is 2.5 cents per square inch. (i.e. 60" x 70" quilt, 60 x 70 x .025 = $105) For more dense quilting price can vary. Minimum $50.

Here's what you'll need to know: 

• Backing and batting must be at least 10" bigger than quilt top. That means 5" for each top/bottom/left/right. For example, a quilt measuring 65" x 85" will need backing and batting measuring at least 75" x 95". 
  
• Press quilt well
• Trim stray threads.
  
• Backing and batting can be purchased in the shop. Our batting on the roll is 80/20 cotton/poly mix and is 90" in length. Our current price is $14.99/yd. 
  
• Fluffy polyester batting is not accepted. We recommend batting be 80/20 cotton/poly mix, wool, bamboo, or 100% cotton. 
• Please trim your batting so that it is NOT wider than your quilt backing.
• Quilts that have wavy borders will likely have tuck and puckers quilted in. To avoid that please attach your borders properly. (ask us for information of how to properly attach borders. 
• We offer machine binding services upon request. (15 cents per linear inch)
• We have several quilting designs available to choose from. If we don't have one that you want we are happy to purchase it on your behalf. Most motifs run about $15 each. 
• Our wait time varies based on time of year. The closer to Christmas we get the longer the wait time. If you want your quilt ready in time for Christmas, we recommend that you bring it in no later than Halloween.
